About Us
Our Story
Founded 2005
Robert A. Miller left a legacy. He always saw the best in everyone. This was a great boost for anyone. He was a Clinical Psychiatric Social-Worker. He worked in various communities outreaching as far as Spanish Peaks Mental Health Clinic in Walsenberg, CO.
The Robert A. Miller Educational Resource Center is designed to meet the needs of the community it serves. The inception of RAMERC happened when Jocelyn, Robert’s daughter, was a new mother meeting other new moms who weren’t communicating with their babies. Some were smoking while pregnant and missing other important parenting skills. She saw the importance of parental education and skill building for her community.
Leadership
During the first few years, RAMERC received funding (altogether $70,000) from the Office of Early Childhood Education which helped to launch us with Early Childcare Facilities connected with QualiStar. Jocelyn conducted numerous workshops throughout the City.
